Fall Themed Art: Drawing, Painting & Sculpture
THURSDAYS, September 22, 29, October 6, 13, 20, 27
$60 5:00 p,m. - 6:30 p.m. 1 ½ hours 6 weeks 5 – 12 years
Students will enjoy creating crisp fall themed projects such as a pumpkin sculpture, autumn harvest & Halloween drawings, and a fall leaf sponge painting.

Creative Clay and Sculpture for Teens
THURSDAYS, September 22, 29, October 6, 13, 20, 27 12 - 16 years
$60 7:00 – 8:30 p.m. 1 ½ hours 6 weeks
In this fun “hands on” class, students will express their creativity while getting messy with air-dry clay! Projects will include: a pinch pot, a coil vase, an animal sculpture and “what ever you want to make” free form project. Returning students will create different projects.

Watercolor Painting for Children
SATURDAYS, September 24, October 1, 8, 15, 22
$55 10:30 am – 11:30 am 1 hour 5 weeks 5 – 12 years
Students will create colorful paintings while learning fun techniques of watercolor. Rice and salt washes will be explored to create texture and to make the colors run into each other for a totally colorful result.

Drawing With Realism & Cartooning
THURSDAYS, November 10, 17, December 1, 8, 15 (no class 11/24)
$50 6:30 p.m. – 7:30 p.m. 1 hours 5 weeks 5 – 12 years
Let’s draw REALISTICALLY and, then, turn the drawing into a fun CARTOON! Student’s will learn the basics of drawing and the basics of cartooning resulting in two very cool but very different drawings of the same subject. Please bring an 11 X 14 sketchbook or larger, a #2 pencil and a black sharpie marker.



Basics of Drawing for Adults Workshop
THURSDAY, December 22, 2011

Take a break from Holiday shopping and relax in this stress-free drawing workshop. The basics of drawing will be explained and explored! This relaxed workshop is for all skill levels! Various numbers of pencils along with charcoal will be explored; no supplies necessary.

Do you want to make fun, clay projects? In this “hands on” class, you will make from air-dry clay: a name tile, a castle, a hide-a-way container, explore free form and much more cool projects!

Jr. Drawing & Cartooning
TUESDAYS September 6 – October 25

Let’s draw realistically and, then, turn that drawing into a cartoon! Student’s will learn the basics of drawing such as shading and drawing marks of a specific subject and, then use their imaginations for a fun cartoon. Please bring an 11 X 14 sketchbook or larger, a #2 pencil and a black sharpie marker.

Do you like to doodle? In this fun class, your doodles will be turned into cool drawings. We will explore word art and graffiti, drawing marks used for cartooning, and simple perspective. We will use markers, pencils and charcoal to create lots of imaginative drawings. Please bring an 11 X14 sketchbook or larger, a black sharpie, and a #2 pencil.

This relaxed class is for all skill levels. Drawing will be explored the first 8 weeks and painting will be explored the last 4 weeks. Elements of drawing foundation will be explained and practiced during the drawing weeks. Painting techniques will be explained and practiced during the painting weeks; all mediums of painting can be explored. Supply list will be discussed during the first drawing class; no supplies needed for the first class.

Lil Creative Artists
THURSDAYS September 8 – October 27
$85 11:00 a.m. – 12:00 noon 1 hour 4 & 5 years
Lil artists will explore fun mediums of arts and crafts in this fun class! We will explore clay, water color, acrylic finger paint, pastels and lots of super fun crafts.

Students will create beautiful paintings on canvas while learning the basics of painting such as color mixture, tint, and shading. One painting will be of a still life and the other will be the student’s choice.

Hola! Draw, paint and sculpt lots of fun, colorful projects while learning a bit of Spanish! Los Colores will be explored, a Mexican vase will be sculpted, and a Spanish-themed, acrylic painting will be created.

Art En Francais
THURSDAYS November 9 – December 14

Bonjour! Students will learn a bit of the French language while creating wonderful French-themed projects such as: the Eiffel Tower sculpted out of clay, a French Poodle Drawing, and a scenic painting of the Eiffel Tower.

Art for Autism
One Saturday per month September - December:
Ages 6 - 12: 11:00 a.m. – noon
Ages 12 - 17: noon – 1:00 p.m.
Cost: $55 for series (includes materials)

Art for autism is specially designed for autistic children to create and express and use their imaginations through art. Simple yet creative projects will be offered each month: September, October, November and December 2011.
If a student expresses severe behavioral problems, it is preferred that a family member accompany the student to class. As always, the class is open for parents to sit in and observe.
Please dress to get messy!



September 17: Clay and Sculpture A creative vase will be sculpted from air-dry clay.
October 15: Cartooning Fun cartoons will be created from imaginations. Black markers will be used.
November 5: Water Color Painting A beautiful watercolor painting will be created.
December 17: Acrylic Painting on Canvas. An acrylic painting will be created on an 8X10 canvas suitable for framing.

PAINTING POTPOURRI

Thursdays, September 15 - October 13

5:30 - 7 p.m.  Ages:  6 - 15 yrs.  Older children will be grouped together on one side of the classroom

$45 all supplies included.

Students will paint and paint and paint.  In this fun class, students will experiment with all kinds of paint and create cool paintings.

COMICAL CARTOON DRAWING

7 - 8 p.m.  Ages: 6 - 15 years.  Older children will be grouped together on one side of the classroom

Students will have so much fun creating cartoon characters and using their imaginations!  Some drawing basics will be explored.
